ratings slump

Graph of my horrible ratings slump at chessworld, the graph reads right to left, I'm currently below 1700 after a high of 1820 something. They use a "moving average" of your last 50 games. (the ratings at chessworld.net are inflated by quite a bit since I'm a solid USCF 1300).

No one knows the pain of a slump more than me. Stick with it. Try and find out what's going wrong with your game. Now is the time to play for points only when you feel ready and confident. If you are tired, then do something else like tactics problems or a chess book. It will come back. Trust me.

Glad to help you break out of your slump buddy! (I just lost a game to dreadpriratejosh at CW) And if the CW ratings are inflated as much as you suspect, man am I ever in trouble - just slid below 1500! Cheers, ChessSmith

LOL!
I do think they are inflated but really its apples and oranges. (OTB and corro that is).

Thanks PMD...sometimes I feel like I should just stick with fishing! (brim or catfish, not really a good place to fly fish down here.)

I am in a slump too at www.redhotpawn.com. It must be all this nice weather and sunshine!
